About the Event

Bocado (means “bite” in Spanish) -- a contemporary Mediterranean-Santorini-vibe designed steakhouse decorated in gorgeous white+blue frescoes of a large double-storey bungalow in affluent Damansara Heights neighbourhood, serves authentic cuisine that showcases bold, savoury flavours of Latin and Spanish in a warm ambience, reminiscent of an elegant eatery in the streets of Barcelona or the isles of Greece.

At this unique one-night-only, Connect PRKL's Wine Aficionados will be presenting a bespoke classics and off-menu, exclusively curated by Chef de Cuisine Ignasi Prats featuring 5-Courses of tasty, rich and mouth-watering Catalonia-influenced platos with a hearty, soft and tender meat dish as principales main course -- perfect for red Spanish pairings! 

Barcelona-born Chef Ignasi's culinary experiences include 3 Michelin star restaurant El Bulli followed by 3 Michelin star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, the time when the restaurant was awarded the World’s Best Restaurant in 2015. In 2016, Chef Ignasi moved to Macau where he focused on western and Japanese-style restaurants before heading to Beijing to become the Executive Chef of a Spanish tapas restaurant in a luxury high-end boutique hotel. Prior to Bocado in Kuala Lumpur, he consulted a new 5-star hotel in Bali. Many of the Catalan delicacies by Chef Ignasi are those that he enjoyed as a child growing up in Spain, which we are in luck to taste some of these authentic dishes during this exact evening!

The private evening's degustación menu will have premium wine pairings meticulously sourced by co-founder Cristian Nannucci, ranging from a variety of Spanish wine regions namely Rioja, Priorat and Ribera del Duero, commencing with a natural Rara Avis Larus Brut Nature Orgànic Reserva Cava DOP
