About the Event

Thirty8 at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is one of the best Kuala Lumpur restaurants that elevates the ideals of a sought-after dining experience, nestled on the 38th floor with a spectacular 360-degree view of the city. THIRTY8 features a lively show kitchen for that theatrical element that we all love!

We are thrilled to introduce a new & highly talented Executive Sous Chef, Matteo Fracalossi, who just started working in Malaysia on Dec 2019, merely 3 months just before the Covid pandemic hit. He brings with him 22 years’ of culinary experience. Growing up in the North with a palate spoilt by his mother who is from Tuscany, Matteo is someone who truly understands the authenticity and regional food diversity of Italy.

At the young age of 24, Matteo discovered the world of fine dining as an apprentice of Antonino Cannavacciuolo, the Chef Patron of two Michelin-starred Villa Crespi. After 15 years of harnessing his culinary skills in Italy, he left for international exposure where his expertise in Italian cuisine brought him to his stop at Park Hyatt Saigon before his next challenge today at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, under GM Olivier Lenoir.  Chef Matteo is truly a culinary enthusiast who is ready to bring a fresh level of creativity to the culinary landscape of downtown Kuala Lumpur.

The evening's specially-crafted degustiazione menu will have wine pairings mainly from the Old World wine regions such as from France & Italy, i.e. Bocca di Lupo & Antinori to mention a few, commencing with an elegant Deutz Brut Rosé Champagne. Experience a dramatic sense of aesthetics cuisine menu with a well-curated fine wine pairings at a great value where we will be serving 5 wine labels paired with a 5-course unforgettable degustazione vino dinner.

This special wine pairing dining experience is RM595.00*nett per person.
